Over mother’s day weekend Sasha Denny directed us through about how Daisy Allen’s mums art lives on through her. An intimate and moving short documentary about Daisy Allen, an Irish artist who moved to a town in South London and a chance discovery opens another view of her late mother through her art.
The competition required shooting on one tape of super 8 with no post editing whatsoever. The film is made using in camera cuts and a blind soundtrack added after.
Out of 142 films, we made the top 8 and premiered at - Cannes back in May and at the BFI Southbank.
